2014 Batch Activity

Assalamualaikum and hi!

Last Friday, i had batch day whereby we had a wonderful day at a beach which is located around 1 hr from our place. For this year plan, we went to Gamasa'. We gathered early in the morning even it was not too early.:P We met up at University Stadium gate and start our journey around 9am. Our international student coordinator came and met us before we moved. Other coordinators also joining us in this trip.

I was shocked as we arrived in front of our university hostel. What?! University's hostel with garden lawn! I never thought that it was there before. I came to Gamasa' when i was in second year having small activities with some seniors. I didn't even realize the existence of this university's own hostel lawn. So we check in the room. Two rooms for girls and another 2 room for guys. It was like a dorm. There were about 5 double-decker bed in each of it and altogether 10 beds. I felt like coming back to hostel life. Oh nope, camping life as the toilet is located outside the room.:P

As soon as we arrived, there were lots of chairs arranged well in the garden lawn. It so beautiful.

We had small game activities while waiting barbeque team finishing their job. I took part in futsal and volleyball. Just playing around. Not too serious. lol. 

I played futsal. I didnt have much experience in this game before.

Then guys prepared for Jumuah praying. The girls prayed zuhr and arranged the potlucks that we brought on the bench under a pavilion. So many tasty dishes was served. There were jelly, truffle, puteri ayu 'malay traditional dish', cream puff, apple crumble, fried meehoon, noodle, and many more. Ouh, they were mouth-watering. Even looking at them stimulate our own saliva. urghh, what the sentences! 

We waited for the guys to came back. As soon as we saw them, we stood up to be in line and started taking food. lol. We were so hungry! Then i took fried rice, chicken bbq with the sauces. It was so good. Thanks to bbq team for their hardwork fanning the fire and looking for them...:P

After that, we had free time to do what ever we wanted. I just loitering inside the dorm while listening to the music and waiting for Asr. The weather was hot. So not productive i am. -_-'. We prayed Asr and met up at the bus to go to the beach for other activities. Waiting the coordinators joining us too. They came a bit late.

We reached the beach which is just not far from our hostel. The weather was chill. The sea breeze welcoming us as soon as we walked to shore. The beach is wide and long. I guess people can do 'balapan game' here. :P

 I was so excited. I stood still before the shore enjoying the tranquility. Had a deep breath and i was so calm. I saw friend already inside the water. Ok, they were so quick. Actually i didnt plan to play the water but i got influenced by them. I glad that i brought skirt from home in case to wear it later.

Telematch began. We are randomly divided into group. Of course the guy played on the other side far from us. That make we owned the place. I can do whatever i wanted. We played 5 games. So funny and awesome. We even had our own group cheers. lol.

Ok, that's me during break. Playing hula hoop like no one care. :P

 Super cool closing game was pulling rope. Reminisce our memory back in school. There were girl and guy category. And guess, my group which major have small size body dominated the game. Well, 'kecil2 cili api'. Then, the guy turn.

I passed my participation to other friend who are more capable than me. I hope my team won. I coordinate my team pulling effort and support them from side. :)

The sun getting down. According to police who escort us, all person should not be in beach starting 5.30pm as Gamasa' beach is one of this country border. We should hurry. Unfortunately, we didnt have time to take our batch photos due to lacking time. So, we went back to the bus. It was an order and we moved to our hostel. We clean ourselves and prayed Maghrib. Packed in belonging to check out of the hostel. For closing ceremony, the winner of the telematch game announced. There were prize too. After that ceremony, we went back to the bus and started our journey back to Mansoura. However, we stuck one hour by the road due to a small demonstration on the street. The police plan alternative way for us to reach our place. At last, we safely arrived.:) The day after that, we have aching all over the body. lol.

Cockles day.

Assalamualaikum and hi! Friend always talking about collecting bucket of cockles every end of year. Awesome! Making 'sambal kerang' and so on. Yummeh! pick up cockles: it was a nice event but i didn't try and took part of it before. I want to know how it was alike. I took opportunity doing this activity by having a bbq at a beach (New Damietta) which is located 1 and half hour from my place with my friends.

After we settled buying squids for bbq and other additional things, we moved to the beach. It was New Damietta.  We search for suitable place under the roof and preparing. We were all excited with our plan.

Ok, we were all ready with our weapon and equipment! lol.

Collect the cockles. I thought they were small but i was wrong. They were big and alive!

'Kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang' im tired working day and night. -_-'

While looking for my nail after battling washed the alive cockle. They have much power!

We were having bbq! Squids, chickens, cockles, and not forget sweet potatoes in the fire.

Omg, it started to dark. It was 5 pm when we finished prepare the food. At last, we ate delicious bbq and our potluck in the dark under the moonlight. Juz kidding! Under a phone light. 

Everyone look untidy especially me..  Food that supposed to be lunch became dinner to us.:P 

It was a simple trip but nice one! I enjoyed it. And of course i brought back home bucket of cockles. Other friends too! Cant believe we did it! So heavy..
