Ramadhan Diary 2011 part 1




assalamualaikum and hi!
happy ramadhan eve!
im attending ramadhan in egypt right now.
and i want to show you how peoples here celebrating this kareem' month.


ramadhan is a month that is waited for all muslim all over the world.
in ramadhan syaitans are tied,
jannah is open & hell is closed.
muslims are fasting.
there is tarawikh and lailatulqadr night.
this is how it differ from others month in islam.


egyptian celebrate ramadhan al-kareem more than celebrating eid-fitr.
colourful, many size of lanterns were sold since before entering ramadhan.
as well as dried fruit such as date, raisin, prunes, apricot and so on.
lanterns are hung inside and outside their house.
it makes their night full of colours and happening.


different sizes and colours of lantern(fawanees) are sold


lanterns (fawanees) hanging from one building to another



date, prunes, apricot, raisins and so on are sold in many places



colourful flags hanging in one of street in egypt



there is decorative light hanging outside their house too.
same as in my hometown.


they makes the night become so beautiful!
